Same Rates Always Apply. Are you aware that Stripe, PayPal, and merchant processors all charge different rates for USA and Non-USA? Making a sale in Mexico? Stripe is an option many small merchants use to process payments, but it does not offer the flexibility of a bank sponsored merchant account. Simply put, having a bank sponsored merchant account allows your company to process more e-commerce credit card sales than typical online payment solutions. Your customer never knows the difference between Stripe and a bank sponsored merchant account. A bank sponsored merchant account provider works hard to understand your business model, which may generate large fluctuations in your credit card processing volume. With bank sponsored merchant accounts you can have back-ups or get others in the case of a shut down or suspension. You can also get better rates that with Stripe. If you lose your stripe account you can't get a new one and won't have a backup solution. Stripe is quick to approve and will only do due diligence after your do any volume.
